On Wednesday nights during the school year (Kanawha County School calendar) we have an informal dinner at 5:30 followed by a time for ministry with the children, ages pre-school thru middle school, which includes singing, praying, Bible stories, crafts and recreation. The children are also involved in service projects. During the children's activites there is a small group study provided for adults.
Our Family Night program began 3 years ago after members of our congregation felt the call to reach out to the children and families in our community. Inspired by Matthew 18:5, Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, several members pledged to dedicate their time and talent to this ministry.
